Ruth Threadgold

”I am a self taught painter and work with ink, acrylic and oil sticks. I am interested in the spot where thoughts are felt but not said, where judgments are made but not expressed, I try to catch the between spaces of ideas and emotions in my work. Sometimes I use paint not only as color but as substance to use natural laws, which then almost alone determine the shape and composition of the painting. I guess, my paintings are intuitive and emotional but I hope that my philosophy that the world in which we live is finally an ok place, shines through.
